Day 1  Marrakech or Imlil - Toubkal base camp 3200m

On arrival to the hamlet of Imlil, the starting point of all the climbs, you will meet your local crew of mule handlers. Luggage and equipment will be carried by mules all the way to the base camp. The walk starts with a zigzag mule path to the village of Aremd, built on a glacial moraine. Then you cross a dry river bed to catch another regular path following the valley up to the shrine of Sidi Chamharouch known for locals for its curative power and for trekkers as a refreshment stop. Your Tour Leader will tell about its history and customs then the climb gets a bit steeper but always on a well maintained zigzag mule track.

After a picnic lunch you continue on an alpine scenery with high peaks both sides to the base camp near Toubkal (Neltner) refuge where the camp will be set for two nights. Driving time: 1:30 hrs / Walking: approx. 8 miles, 5:30 hrs

Day 2  Ascent Mount Toubkal 4165 m

The breathtaking views from the top worth the effort and reward the determination.
